Our client is a global Construction Services Company currently focused on growing the strength of their estimating teams, with multiple opportunities across the country. Specifically, looking for Senior Estimators, with the right skills, knowledge, desire and willingness to learn, in the Mississauga area.
The ideal candidate would have:
Experience in creating and monitoring construction estimates across a variety of project types and delivery methods, including lump sum, construction management and design build.
The ability to lead a team in the preparation of estimates for major projects (up to $250,000,000.)
A solid understanding of scopes and costs of typical G.C. performed work and Subcontractor work.
Experience in creating preliminary construction schedules.
The ability to assist in determining bid strategies.
A good knowledge of contracts, codes and industry practices.
A solid understanding of related computer applications including spreadsheet and scheduling software.
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
Well-developed communication and negotiation skills.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in Quantity Surveying or Estimating of ICI projects.
